Processing aids are compounds, usually mixtures of components, which are added in small amounts to aid in the processing and/or handling of polymeric formulations. They can be utilized for various purposes such as reducing plasticity of a compound, acting like a lubricant or slip-agent during extrusion, homogenizing a mixture inside a Banbury, or acting as a mold release during curing.
